When respite care helps

Caring for a loved one full-time can be tiring. Respite care gives family caregivers much-needed relief while knowing the person they love is safe, well fed, supervised, and cared for in a comfortable home setting with 24/7 support.

What a respite stay looks like

Respite residents receive the same level of care as our long-term residents, including a private room, three home-cooked meals each day, medication management on schedule, help with activities of daily living, and the constant presence of awake caregivers. The only difference is that the stay is temporary.

Why families choose us for respite

Some families choose respite care while they are in the early stages of considering a long-term care setting. Others need short-term support after a hospital discharge, when their loved one is not quite ready to return home. If respite care reveals that long-term care would be the safest and most supportive option, families have the option to turn the respite stay to long term care.
