What hospice care looks like in our home
When a resident enters hospice, our role becomes deeply personal. We continue providing daily care — bathing, feeding, comfort — while a hospice team manages pain and medical needs. The resident stays in their familiar room, with the same caregivers they've come to know.
Working alongside hospice providers
We partner with local hospice organizations and have built strong, trusted relationships with many of them. Their nurses, social workers, and chaplains visit as needed, while we provide the daily presence and attentive care in between. Together, we help ensure pain is managed, dignity is maintained, and families feel supported. We also always respect each resident’s and family’s right to choose the hospice provider that best aligns with their preferences during such a delicate and sensitive time.
Supporting families through grief
End-of-life care is not only for the resident; it is also for the family. We welcome visits at any hour, share what we observe, and keep the home calm, respectful, and peaceful during those final days and hours. Many families have told us that being able to say goodbye in a home setting, rather than in a hospital or larger facility, was a meaningful gift.
