How families pay for care
There's no single "right" way to pay for adult foster care. Most families combine resources — long-term care insurance, retirement savings, Social Security, family contributions, and in some cases Medicaid. We're happy to walk through what makes sense for your situation, with no obligation.
Hospice coverage
If your loved one enters hospice while in our care, hospice services themselves (nursing visits, medication, equipment, chaplain support) are typically covered by Medicare. Our base care rate generally continues unchanged during hospice — we'll talk through specifics with each family.
What's included in our base rate
Our base monthly rate covers: a private bedroom, three home-cooked meals a day plus snacks, 24/7 awake caregiving, medication administration, personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming), laundry, housekeeping, transportation coordination for medical appointments, and family communication.
What costs extra
Most things are included. Additional fees may apply for highly specialized medical equipment, certain transportation (e.g., medical transport for distant appointments), or specific personal services outside our standard scope. We're transparent about anything beyond the base rate.
Let's talk specifics
Every family's situation is different. Pricing depends on level of care, room availability, and which of our two homes is the better fit. The best next step is to call us at (503) 400-1010 — we'll talk through pricing and answer specific questions.
